The rural town of Kilcoy lies 23Km west of Woodford along the D'Aguilar Highway, approximately 75Km from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, and 94Km from the Brisbane CBD. It is about 27Km NE of Toogoolawah, and is located within the new Somerset Regional Council area.
The Kilcoy area is blessed with natural beauty. From views of Somerset Dam, rolling hills and mountains, to dairy farms and small creeks, there are plenty of photogenic places to picnic and enjoy. North of Kilcoy lies the little hamlet of Jimna which has a lovely camping ground next to a creek.
Kilcoy will be hosting a 'Celebrating Seniors' Festival at the end of August, and we would like to invite seniors, families and friends from all around to come and visit the town, and participate in our various activities.
